This year’s CalChiefs Annual Conference in Anaheim was a celebration of community, innovation, and shared purposes. Intterra was honored to attend, sponsor, and actively participate in a gathering that brought together leaders and changemakers from across California’s fire service.
Let’s recap what made this year so special.
- Trust the Badge
- Community Mobile App
- Hall of Fame Luncheon
- Building the movement
Trust the Badge
Leading up to CalChiefs, Intterra had been testing a new message, “Trust the Badge.” It’s a powerfully simple message and it’s more than a headline; it’s a belief we’re rallying around.
Perhaps our biggest surprise during the event was the amount of inbound questions and feedback we received about Trust the Badge. Leaders were curious about its meaning and even thanked us for choosing to focus on it.
There has never been more data and noise in our communities and daily jobs. Public safety leaders are battling the historical challenges of their profession while also trying to filter through disconnected tech, unstructured data, and outside misinformation. Communities feel these problems, especially during those times when they need clarity and accurate information the most.
At Intterra, we believe trusting the badge isn’t just about giving the public authoritative information. It’s also about making sure every badge has the tools and data to do their jobs safely and effectively. No paywalls. No personal subscriptions. No “premium tier” of situational awareness.
If you wear the badge, you deserve the full data picture — because your ability to protect us all depends on it.

Introducing the new Intterra
A key highlight for us was the opportunity to introduce some of Intterra’s next-gen solutions, which includes a Community Mobile App. We had so many impactful conversations after Rob Wolf's presentation and those have already been shared with our world-class product and engineering teams.

Hall of Fame Luncheon
Intterra’s sponsorship of the Hall of Fame luncheon was a privilege we deeply value. Supporting the recognition of lifetime achievement in the fire service is a tradition we’re proud to continue. The luncheon was filled with heartfelt stories, laughter, and moments of reflection as new inductees were celebrated for their dedication and impact. We believe honoring these leaders not only preserves the legacy of the fire service but also inspires the next generation to lead with integrity and vision.

The movement
Beyond the sessions and ceremonies, the conference was a chance to connect onsite and beyond. Our team enjoyed meaningful conversations with partners, customers, and new friends. Whether sharing insights at our booth, brainstorming future collaborations, or simply catching up over coffee, every interaction reinforces the power of community.
And yes, we watched 18 innings of the Dodgers game together — proof that even after a full day of learning and networking, there’s always room for camaraderie and a little friendly competition.
As we look ahead, Intterra remains committed to supporting the California fire service with innovative solutions and unwavering partnership. The CalChiefs Annual Conference reminded us that progress is built on relationships, shared goals, and the willingness to solve hard problems together.
Thank you to everyone who made this year’s event unforgettable. Importantly, thank you for your leadership in your communities. We’re building a movement at Intterra, for you and with you.
